Zero tolerance
There is no tolerance for abusive behaviour or for objectionable content — including anything sexual, violent, hateful, or involving a person who has not agreed to be there.
Anything reported is reviewed. Accounts that post objectionable content or behave abusively are removed, and removed accounts cannot be recreated by signing up again. You can report any stare in two taps from the feed, and block anyone at any time; blocking is immediate and works in both directions.
Your stares are yours
You keep every right you have in what you photograph. You give STARE only what it needs to show your stares to the friends you chose, for the 24 hours they are visible, and to play your most recent one on an invite link if you share one.
What you agree not to do
- Post anything you do not have the right to post.
- Photograph people who have not agreed to it.
- Harass, impersonate or threaten anyone.
- Try to reach other people's stares by any route but the app.
Stare Pro
Longer sittings are part of Stare Pro, available monthly, yearly or as a single purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and are managed in your Apple account settings. Payment is taken by Apple, not by us.
Losing Pro never removes access to anything you have already made. Your diary is yours whether you pay or not.
Ending it
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. We may remove an account that breaks the zero-tolerance clause above.
No warranty
STARE is provided as it is. It is a small app made by one person, and it may occasionally be unavailable.
